More information about Tsuzushi Yuki Tsumugi Silk Fabric, Sold by Daimaru Department Store, Kimono A
Please read my profile if you wish to interact.
Material: Silk (正絹) Width: Approximately 37.5cm Length: One bolt (一反分)
This is an unused, unsewn bolt of fabric.
At first glance, it appears to be a purple color, but it's a complex, chambray-fancy color created with black and pink threads.
Woven with relatively fine threads, it still has certain of the characteristic slubs of tsumugi (紬) silk, and it has a nice sheen.
The color in the second photo is the closest to the actual color as seen on my screen.
It is labeled as "Tsukushi Yuki" (津久志結城), but I believe it is different from genuine Honba Yuki-tsumugi (本場結城紬). However, the remnants of the tag indicate it was from Daimaru Department Store, so the quality is likely assured.
There is a few discoloration around the sticker, but otherwise, there are no noticeable flaws, and it is in relatively good condition.
I have checked about 1 meter of the fabric, but I haven't checked the rest, so there is a possibility of flaws within. I am offering it at a lower price to reflect this, so please understand before purchasing.
It would also be terrific for luxurious handmade crafts or for repurposing. I personally make kimono remake clothing through dressmaking, and it's much easier to start with a bolt of fabric because you don't have to take apart a kimono.
